Researchers have found children under age 2 who are learning to speak, usually using different methods. Children around the age of 2 years will usually pay more attention to surroundings and began to follow directions or instructions.

So that the children with age often imitate the words or sentences from the people around them, especially those who frequently they meet. Children around the age of 2 years will usually begin to use language that is learned in a short conversation

Instead of hearing his own voice to learn to speak and patterns like adults, children age 2 years can rely on people who talk to the child to repeat back what was said.

It is based on the results of research conducted by researchers at Queen's University.

"We were very surprised to find that children aged 2 years do not monitor their own voice when speaking. Children aged 2 years more attention to the repetition of words spoken by adults to them," said Ewan MacDonald, a professor at the Technical University of Denmark as reported Epharmapedia, Monday (1/16/2012).

The study's findings highlight the importance of interactions between preschoolers who are learning to speak with caregivers or the people around the child.

"The repetition of the words or sentences can assist children in learning to talk. Repetition can facilitate the child to say words or sentences with the right", said the researchers.

The researchers have proved the child to the age of about 2 years and adults learn to speak by monitoring his own voice. But so far the researchers still have not been studied regarding the most appropriate method used to learn to talk to children about 2 years of age.

Further studies are being developed to determine the most effective methods used children to learn to talk.

"The development of speech is a very complicated issue. It is an issue that can not be solved in the near future," said Dr.. MacDonald.

The results of these studies have been published in Current Biology.
